The Hanged Man symbolism
A man hangs upside down by one foot from a living tree shaped like a T. His free leg is bent behind the other, forming a cross, and his hands are held behind his back. His face is calm and a halo glows around his head. He is not being punished: he has chosen this position, and from it he sees the world in a completely different way.
