Wadj Wer, in egyptian mythology also called the mighty green one, was an Egyptian fertility god. Sometimes he was depicted in an androgynous form personifying the Mediterranean Sea or the major lakes of the Nile delta.
e is depicted as carrying the ankh and a loaf.
The figure often appears pregnant and is associated with the richness of the Nile-delta waters. A.G.H.
