Tvastar, in hindu mythology carpenter, is a Hindu creator god, mentioned in the Vedas, and referred to as the «divine builder» who fashions living creatures on earth.
The Hindus equated to the Roman god Vulcan.
He is an aditya, or sun god, and father of Saranyu. His attributes are the homajakalika, an uncertain fire device, ladle, and two lotuses. A.G.H.
