Tagirion

Tagirion (Hebrew ThGRIRVN, «Disputers») in Kabbalistic tradition are the Qlippoth or demonic powers associated with Tiphareth, the sixth Sephirah of the Tree of Life. In their traditional form they are depicted as giants wrestling with each other.

Togaririm, another spelling, «Those Who Bellow Grief and Tears,» is a place of ugliness and groaning. The cortex is Zomiel, «The revolt of God.» Tagirion is a striking opposite of the Sephirah Tiphareth, a place of beauty and rejoycing, for it holds Belphegor, lord of dead bodies. A.G.H.
