Okeanos was the Greek god of the ocean. He was a deity who remained stationed at his post when Zeus summoned most of the other gods. His consort was Tethys and he fathered the Okeanides, and many daughters led by Styx as well as Doris, Metis, and Tyche. A.G.H.
