Another name for Nibiru is Nebiru.  It is a term originating from the Akkadian language. The Akkadian language is already extinct today; it originated from the East Semitic region and had a background in ancient Mesopotamia. History has traced it to the 30th century BC. At a later period, the language was replaced by the Akkadian-influenced eastern Aramaic in Mesopotamia; this was between the 8th century BC and 3rd centuries AD. Translated to English language, it means “point of transmission” or “crossing.” The crossing usually refers to that of a river.  This term is equally embedded in the Babylonian astronomy where it is referred to as equinox along with all the astronomical items that are associated with it.

Babylonian cosmology role

In ancient Babylon, Nibiru was seen as the seat of the summus dues, who was the shepherd of the stars. He was also identified with Marduk.  You can find the establishment of the Nibiru point in table 5 of Enuma Elis, which contains creation stories. In that tablet, Marduk was considered to be responsible for fixing Nibiru’s location, as well as those of Ea and Enlil in the sky.

Nibiru is considered to be Marduk’s star and its appearance in the sky is thought to be made possible by Marduk. Bear in mind also that the stars in the sky were considered as gods in ancient Babylon. Furthermore, Nibiru is said to occupy the passageway of earth and heaven. It is considered to be the guidance of those seeking for the direction to either heaven or earth.  It stands as a post at the turning point.  He was also considered to have crossed the middle of the sea without calm since it is powerful enough to occupy the center of the sea.

In the course of history, Nibiru got mentioned in various astronomical locations in agreement with the positions of the planets and stars.

Aside from ancient Babylonian history, Nibiru equally got mentioned in several other ancient Mesopotamian religions. He is a primordial being and other deities inferior to it are mentioned below:

  • Ninurta
  • Nergal
  • Marduk
  • Lahar
  • Geshtinanna
  • Kingu
  • Ereshkigal
  • Enkimdu
  • Dumuzid/Tammuz
  • Adad

Furthermore, Nibiru has been associated several times with the area of Libra ad Nibiru constellation has been traced to the month of Tisritum, the Babylonian calendar was more or less a lunisolar calendar and its years are made of 12 lunar months with each of them starting with the formation of a new crescent appearing low at sunset on the western horizon. It is also referred to as an intercalary month inserted as required by decree.

It has its foundation in the Umma calendar of the Shulgi that originated from the 21st century BC, which is around autumnal equinox. It is yet another name for Jupiter, one of the earliest discovered planets occupying the sixth position in our solar system. This relationship with Jupiter is usually observed when Nibiru is viewed in the month of Tisiritum. In fact, some astrologers have labeled Nibiru as the same entity as Jupiter.

Nibiru is said to change its position frequently as it moves across the sky. Its movement across the sky is termed as a form of division in which it cuts the sky into two equal part. Its light is usually dim, which is one of the several features that make it stand out.

In some other writings, Nibiru has been referred to as mercury, which is the planet occupying the first position in our solar system. Mercury is usually called Nibiru if it divides the sky into two and then stands at a point. In fact, several other reports have shown that any visible astronomical object can be referred to as Nibiru.

Nibiru in the Bible

Is Nibiru real?

The Biblical details give credence to the reality of Nibiru. Planet Nibiru is also called planet X.  Research shows that it is moving towards the earth and it is expected to be observable from the Earth by the 23rd of September; this is, however, in line with the reports from conspiracy theorists. Consequently, there is no assurance of the theory coming to pass.

Even if the September 23rd date never materializes, it has been reported that apocalypse is coming upon the earth. Both Christians and non-believers are looking forward to that day. It is also well reported in the bible. Though the name Nibiru was never mentioned in the Bible, the expected effect of Planet-X; that is, the apocalypse, is mentioned explicitly in the bible. All the signs of the expected destruction via apocalypse are equally mentioned in the bible.

Furthermore, a star called the wormwood was mentioned in the bible. According to the bible, this star falls from the sky. A good Bible reference for Nibiru can be found in Revelation 8: 10-11. That place read thus: “The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood.” Where is Nibiru now? It is several light years away from the earth as we speak.

One of the conspiracy websites that spoke extensively about this is Escape All These Things. One of the contributors in that website said that he found that the star called Wormwood fits the scenario described Plant X. This revelation further proved that the bible is a highly reliable source of discernment and truth in this world.

You can also refer to the book of Revelation 12:1 for another proof that. “The third angel blew his trumpet, and a great star fell from heaven, blazing like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and the springs of water.” The name of the star is Wormwood and is coming towards the earth to bring about the apocalypse as described in the Bible that part of the bible reads thus: “A great sign appeared in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun with the moon under her feet and a crown of 12 stars on her head. And being with child, she cried out in her travail and was in the anguish of delivery.”
