Gula, great one, Mesopotamian (Sumerian and Babylonian-Akkadian), is goddess of healing and consort of Ninurta. Her animal is the dog. She may be synonymous with Nin'sinna and also is mentioned in Hellenistic Babylon times. A Gula temple is described at Uruk. A.G.H.
