Diti, Hindu goddess, is mentioned in Vedic, Epic, and Puranic texts. She is daughter of Daksa, and a consort of Aditi, in the Rg Veda, or Kasyapa and the mother of a race of demons. Her attributes are the blue lotus, child, and fruit. A.G.H.
