Transmutation of the Body

Transmutation of the body is the major aim of all alchemy, which is to restore man to his primordial condition of grace, strength, perfection, beauty, and physical immortality. With this in mind, alchemists of all ages labored to discover the Elixir of Life, which mystics believed would literally, achieve the renewal of youth. Numerous receipts of the medicine have been given, and some people honestly believed that they had found it; but their efforts prove futile because the secret still remains hidden from human eyes.
