Theophany

Theophany is the miraculous evocation of a god to a human being, for example of Jehovah to Moses; also, the supernatural change of Jesus on the mountain. (Matthew 17: 1-9) In ancient Egypt, theophany referred to gods in animal and half-animal forms. A.G.H.
