Spiritus loci

Spiritus loci (Latin, "spirit of the place") is a term of ancient Pagan traditions meaning the spiritual being inhabiting a particular geographical location. Some modern writers interpreted this as the "place where a spirit manifests," which is locus spiritus. A.G.H.
