Sachiel in ceremonial magick is identified as the angel of the planet Jupiter and is mentioned as such in both the Secret Grimoire of Turiel and the Grimoire of Armadel. Kabbalistic lore has him the archangel of the Cherubim. He is the angel of Thursday. His name means "the covering of God." Although usually not included among the fallen the Sacred Magic of Abramelin the Mage has him as one of several demons serving under the four infernal princes Oriens, Paimon, Ariton, and Amaimon, who guard the cardinal directions.
