Sa

Sa was the Egyptian word for the holy blood of Isis that made the pharaohs and heroes immortal; its counterpart is the Hindu soma, manifested in many forms but basically is believed to be the menstrual blood of the Goddess. The Egyptian Great Mother's "wise blood," sa, was said to contain intelligence. A.G.H.
