Michael


Michael is an archangel first introduced in Hebrew Scriptures with Gabriel. He is named in Daniel 10:60 as a divine messenger. In aggadic literature he is the guardian angel of Israel, the chief opponent of Satan, and keeper of the heavenly keys. A.G.H.
