Magna Dea


The "Great Goddess" of Syria worshipped especially in Hierapolis, "Holy City." The same title was given to all Goddesses throughout the Roman empire, which was merging on a concept of female monotheism when the Jewish, Persian and Christian patriarchy set in. A.G.H.
