Long Lost Friend, The


The Long Lost Friend was a magical handbook, sort of a farmer's almanac, written by a Pennsylvania Dutch magician, Johann Georg Hohman and published in 1820. Its folk magic was popular as it described cures for people and livestock. It has been published under several titles including The Long Hidden Friend and Pow-Wows. A.G.H.
