Gamaliel

Gamaliel (Hebrew GMLIAL, "Recompense of God") in Kabbalistic tradition are the Qlippoth or demonic powers associated with Yesod, the ninth Sephirah of the Tree of Life. They also are called the Obscene Ones. In their traditional appearance they are seen as bull shaped men linked together. The cortex is Ogiel, and archdemon is Lilith.

Gamaliel is opposite of Yesod, place of final forms that become matter in Malkuth, because it is the realm of Mishappen and polluted images that produce vile results. The outer form is the order of Ogiel. All is under the great female demon Lilith, thought by some to be the mother of demons produced from sperm of nocturnal emissions which she and her sisters caused men to have. A.G.H.
