Demonolatry in occultism this practice refers to the working with a power usually considered demonic. It is generally practiced by practitioners practicing the left-handed path of traditional Witchcraft.

Demonolatry is some times called demon worship but differs from the Christiani sense. The power usually is not personified as a demon except by practitioner coming from Christian backgrounds who are accustomed of doing so and have not yet broken the habit. Therefore the power is not viewed as a demon trying to lead people away from God who is not recognized. This power is recognized as a force replete with knowledge that can be trusted. The demonolator or demonolatress worships the force when he or she works with it and uses it.
