Cannibalism, Burial

Cannibalistic burial, in ancient and until relative recent times, was an important practice in many areas on the world. The practice was engaged in either to obtain the dead person's spirit in order to gain his power, or to ward off the evil in the soul of the person eaten. (see Cannibalism) A.G.H.
