Arphaxat



A Persian sorcerer who was killed by a thunderbolt (according to Abdias of Babylon) at the very hour of the martyrdom of St. Simon and St. Jude. According to the records of the possession of Loudun a demon referred to as Arphaxat took possession of the body of Louise de Pinterville. A.G.H.
