Mehet-Weret (great flood) in egyptian mythology is a minor goddess associated with the creation legends of Egypt.

In some versions of the story she epitomizes the primeval ocean, while in other she is the waterway on which the boat of Re travels.

She is depicted as a cow bearing a sun disc between the horns and lying on papyrus reeds. A.G.H.
