Irdlirvirisissong

Irdlirvirisissong, in some legends of the Inuits, is a female clown and the cousin of the moon-god, Aningan. She owns the house in which they live. Sometimes she dances in the sky to make people laugh. But if a living stranger visiting the Land of Day or a shaman laughs while watching her she will dry them up and devour their intestines. A.G.H.
