Hari, yellowish brown, is a minor incarnation of the god Vishnu, mentioned in epic and Puranic literature, and popularized by modern religious movements. He is one of the sons of the god Dharma who came from the heart of Brahma. Hari is closely associated with Krishna, but he and Krishna also parallel Dharma’s other sons, Nara and Narayana; therefore, Hari can be a more generic epithet applied to several Hindu gods.
