Male and Female Rainbows
Ndyambe created rain, from which all water came. To control its fall he created two rainbows, one male, and the other female. The narrow, male rainbow appears first. Alone it cannot halt the rain, but if it is followed by the broad, female rainbow, then the rain ceases. (Luyi myth, Kenya) A.G.H.
