Sindonology
A term referring to the studies of the Turin Shroud, which is a sacred
relic of Christendom. This is said to be the cloth or garment which Christ
was wrapped in after the crucifixion. Much evidence surrounding the shroud
has been gathered since 1898, and the first Sindonical Council was held
in 1939. A.G.H.
