Eromanty
Eromanty is one of the six kinds of divination
practiced by the Persians by the means of air. They enveloped their heads
in a napkin and exposed to the air a vase filled with water, over which
they recited in a low voice the objects of their desires. If bubbles appeared
on the surface of the water it was regarded as a happy prognostication.
